What a coffee this is! Grown at an altitude of between 2100-2200 metres, Halu Beriti is a classic Yirgacheffe in every way.

Native varieties slowly ripen to maximum sweetness and are processed using the washed method- and it’s done with quality in mind at very step. soaked for 12-24 hours after pulping then washed, the coffee is then dried slowly for 10-20 days.

The next step is where the real difference lies. At two more stages, the coffees are hand sorted for defects, resulting in the “special prep” that takes this coffee above the rest. This lot is completely untainted with defects, resulting in a clean, aromatic and flavourful cup. Think bergamot, jasmine and peach… classic flavours for this coffee.

We have roasted this coffee quite light even compared to most Ethiopian coffees- we really want to highlight the delicate aromatics of this coffee.
