We loved this coffee so much, so we roasted it for espresso as well as filter, its one of the cleanest and most complex coffees we have tasted this year. Honey notes, praline toffiness giving a little burnt sugar flavour supported by a rounded and complex acidity. Structured is the best way to describe this one.

The Sierra De Las Minas region is new to us. in Guatemala’s eastern highlands. Not known for coffee production, Teodoro Ortega’s grandfather saw the potential 50 years ago and planted coffee. Altitude, rich soils and great access to water made that a decision that paid off, even with its remoteness. La Bella has become a fixture at Cup of Excellence.
