This is the coffee we’ve been waiting for all year! Described by the gang as the ‘non Kenyan’ Kenyan, Ngutu is elegant, silky and complex; reminiscent of cola, rhubarb and sweet strawberries.

Ngutu factory is run by the Raikamba Farmers Cooperative Society (F.C.S) and neatly sits in the Aberdare mountains to the south of Mt. Kenya. The factory processes coffee from 1200 contributing farmers that have just 200 trees each on average.

The farmers bring their cherry to the factory for sorting and processing same day it is picked. The coffee is depulped then fermented under fresh river water. It is then washed and dried in direct sun.
